Tell President Obama: Reject Keystone XL!
This is the final official comment period for Keystone XL. People like you have already submitted over 900,000 comments -- we need to keep it up and push the environmental community's national total to one million!
The State Department has released their revised report on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline -- and it downplays the overall effect of the tar sands on our climate. But science is on our side, and we have several weeks during this comment period to show the president that there is a national movement
demanding he keep his climate promises.
In the weeks since the report came out, there have been two tar sands spills in the United States, including one that poured 84,000 gallons of tar sands into Arkansas backyards. With stakes this high, there is no excuse for the White House to approve Keystone XL -- and it's up to activists like you to make sure the president gets the message: It's impossible to fight climate change while simultaneously investing in one of the dirtiest, most carbon-intensive fossil fuels on the planet.
Submit an official comment below, and we'll keep you updated on letter-to-the-editor drives, public events, and other efforts you can join to stop Keystone by the April 22 deadline!
