JOIN NO MORE NAMES RALLY!
Thursday, September 19 at 10:30 AM
US Capitol Building

1st and Constitution NEWashington, DC 20002

On Monday morning, the news broke about one of the worst mass shootings in US history -- this time, in our nation's capital.

I am a survivor of the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, and for the past seven years I've been working as an advocate to reduce gun violence. No one should have to go through something like this, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by the tragedy at the Washington Navy Yard.

This Thursday, I'll be in Washington, D.C. with other survivors of gun violence and supporters from all across the country for the "No More Names" rally on Capitol Hill. Families of victims, gun violence survivors, faith leaders, law enforcement, elected officials, veterans, and hundreds of grassroots supporters will demand action from Congress and read the names of more than nine thousand people who have been murdered with guns since the shooting in Newtown, CT.

We know we can't prevent all gun violence. But common-sense solutions, like requiring background checks for all gun sales, can keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people and save lives.

This Thursday, you'll hear stories from people whose lives have been forever changed by gun violence -- and together we will demand action from Congress.

I hope you can join us in saying "No More Names!"

P.S. -- If you can make it to DC, please RSVP to join the No More Names rally at the US Capitol this Thursday, September 19th at 10:30 AM.
